Established in April 2008, Planning & Design Institute (PDI) of Peking University(Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is an independent legal impersonal planning and research entity subject to Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.
中心根据北京大学“走向世界一流综合性大学”和深圳研究生院“建设国际化校区”的办学方针,依托北京大学城市规划与设计学院雄厚的师资和科研力量. 关注以珠三角为代表的中国新型城市化发展的重点领域,开拓城市规划与土地规划研究国际合作,正在朝着建设独具特色的一流规划设计研究机构奋进。
According to Peking University and Shenzhen Graduate School’s goal of “toward a world-class comprehensive university” and “building the international campus”, also based on the outstanding faculty and research capability of School of Urban Planning & Design, PDI has always been keeping a keen eye on the critical areas of China’s new urbanization development, such as the Pearl River Delta, and dedicated to advance the international cooperation in urban planning and land use planning. PDI is now forging ahead to build a featured institute at the forefront of planning, design and research.
自2008年成立以来,中心发挥多学科综合研究的实力优势,秉持专业、高效、务实的服务理念,以珠三角为核心基地,不断拓展省内、省外市场,共承接了50余项各类规划、设计和研究课题,尤其在创新的规划设计类型和创新的技术手段、分析方法的应用方面突显了北大规划的特色。同时,中心努力构建稳定、开放的合作交流平台,目前已与广东省住房和城乡建设厅、深圳市坪山新区等建立了长期战略合作关系,并与美国林肯土地研究中心、麻省理工大学、日本大阪大学、新加坡国立大学、香港大学以及国内一流的高等院校、知名规划设计机构开展了多种方式的科研合作。
Since its inception in 2008, PDI has been successful in expanding market inside and outside the Guangdong Province according to our comprehensive research strength as well as the professional, efficient and pragmatic service philosophy. PDI has undertaken more than 50 projects of planning, design and research, highlighting the creative design types, innovative planning techniques, and analytical methods. Striving to construct a stable, open platform for domestic and international cooperation, PDI has established a long-term strategic partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province and Pingshan New District. In addition, PDI has conducted various kinds of scientific research in cooperation with remarkable universities and institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, Osaka University, National University of Singapore and University of Hong Kong.
